The National Zoo Prepares To Bid Farewell To Beloved Giant Panda Bei Bei

My current event: At the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., is going to be releasing the popular and beloved giant panda, Bei Bei, on November 19th, 2019. Bei Bei is going to go to Chengdu, China to help keep up a cooperative breeding program to try to save his vulnerable species, which currently numbers just 1,864 specimens in the wild. Bei Bei will be missed by the hundreds of thousands of fans he has gained. From the day he was born, to now, people have watched him grow up from when he was just a newborn weighing less than a third of a pound to now, Bei Bei being a healthy 240 pound toddler. We will miss you, Bei Bei!
